How we source our halal.

Zaytoon has been a halal Middle Eastern restaurant in Clinton, Massachusetts since 2013. We are the Aldafaie family, and we cook for our guests the same way we cook for our own family. Halal is not a label we put on the door. It is how this kitchen works, every day.

Our meat is zabiha.

Zabiha is meat prepared according to Islamic requirements, by hand and in the traditional manner. We source our meat from suppliers whose own halal practice is documented.

No pork, ever.

No pork or pork derivatives are served at Zaytoon: not in the meat, not in the enzymes, not anywhere on the line. This is not a preference; it is a requirement we hold without exception.

No alcohol. No BYOB.

We don’t serve alcohol at Zaytoon. There’s no bar and no wine list, and we are not a BYOB restaurant: guests can’t bring their own alcohol to the dining room, the buffet, or private events at the restaurant.
